What would be an inch of ginger ?
If you can find fresh ginger, usually in the refrigerated produce section, it would be 1 inch of the root. You can also try using 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger in place of fresh. I hope that helps!
I drink lemon and ginger tea every morning for my gout. Never tried it with cayenne before. A study by the University of Maryland Medical Center showed that lemon juice can reduce levels of uric acid in the body, which is a major contributor to gout. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols, which can help reduce joint pain and inflammation. Gingerol also helps to neutralize free radicals that cause oxidative damage in the body, thereby helping to prevent gout flare-ups. Never go a day without it.
