Eat more chickpeas!
Chickpeas, aka...garbanzo beans, are a good source of protein, fiber, carbs, iron, B vitamins and many other nutrients. They are one of the first known cultivated crops, dating back 7,500 years ago. And today, these nutritious beans are still loved and consumed by many cultures.
Chickpeas are one of my favorite legumes and can be used in a variety of ways. Use them in sandwiches (as fillers), salads, soups, stews, burgers, hummus, falafels and more. They truly are the greatest bean in the world!
Here are plenty of chickpea recipes to get you started with this versatile little bean!
